Homeopathy software for Mac
RadarOpus runs natively on Mac. You install it from a macOS installer, your library and patient files live on your Mac, and you work in it as you would in any other Mac program. The same packages are sold for Mac and Windows.
What your Mac needs
- macOS 15 Sequoia or later; the publisher advises the latest version of macOS.
- An Intel Core i processor or Apple Silicon; Apple Silicon is recommended for a new machine.
- 8 GB of memory recommended.
- 25 GB of free disk space.
- A display of at least 1400 × 1050; Full HD is recommended.
For macOS 10.14 Mojave or 10.15 Catalina, the publisher still provides a legacy installer. Ask us before ordering if your Mac is on one of those versions. The full list for Mac and Windows is on System requirements.
When it needs the internet
RadarOpus needs an internet connection for the first activation. After that it checks the licence every 30 days, or every 12 months if your licence uses a dongle (a physical security key). Between those checks you can work offline: open your repertories and Materia Medica, take rubrics into an analysis and work on your cases without a connection. This suits a practitioner who sees patients where the connection is poor, or who prefers not to depend on one.
How an installed program differs from a browser app
Some homeopathy software now runs in a web browser. That has real advantages: nothing to install, and the same account on any device. The differences are worth knowing before you choose.
- Where the work happens. RadarOpus runs on your Mac. A browser app depends on the supplier's online service, and offline use, where it is offered, depends on that supplier's offline mode and its terms.
- Where patient files are kept. In RadarOpus, patient files are stored on your own computer and encrypted. Cases can only be opened through RadarOpus, and RadarOpus runs only with your licence. With a browser app, records are usually held in the supplier's cloud.
- What you are paying for. A RadarOpus package from the UK shop is a licence bought once. Browser apps are usually paid for by subscription, though some offer a lifetime option.

On your iPhone, iPad or Android device: OpusGo
RadarOpus itself is a desktop program. For a phone or tablet, Zeus Soft makes OpusGo, for iOS and Android. Its free library includes Kent's Repertory, Boericke, the Organon and Kent's Lectures, and further books, Synthesis Adonis among them, are available as yearly subscriptions. OpusGo is separate from a desktop licence. You can export a case from OpusGo and continue it in RadarOpus on your Mac. OpusGo replaces the former Synthesis App, which is no longer sold.
Try it on your own Mac
You can try the full program free for 15 days, and a permanent licence bought from Radar UK carries a 14-day refund. Upgrades have been free so far; future upgrades may be charged.
