RadarOpus prices in the UK

RadarOpus is sold in the UK as four packages. Each is a licence bought once, with VAT included in the price. The packages differ in the engine (what the program can do), the edition of Synthesis, the size of the Materia Medica library and the number of clipboards you can use in an analysis.

Prices checked 27 October 2026. The product page carries the live price.

Advanced£1,500GoldAdonis3756
Optimum£2,250DiamondAdonis98212

What each package includes

  • Core is the starting point: the Mini engine with Kent's, Boericke's and Phatak's repertories, 21 Materia Medica volumes and one clipboard. It has no Synthesis.
  • Essentials brings in Synthesis Treasure Edition 2009, with Van Woensel's Keynotes, Kent, Boericke and Phatak, on the Silver engine, with 91 volumes and three clipboards.
  • Advanced moves to Synthesis Adonis on the Gold engine, adding repertories that include the Q Repertory, the Thematic Repertory, Clarke and Roberts, with 375 volumes and six clipboards.
  • Optimum pairs Synthesis Adonis with the Diamond engine and the largest collection of the four, including the Boger-Boenninghausen Characteristics Repertory, with 982 volumes and twelve clipboards. A network version is available.

The editions are explained on Synthesis in RadarOpus, and every inclusion is listed side by side on Compare packages.

Buying once or subscribing: how to do the arithmetic

A one-off price and a monthly price only compare fairly once you put them over the same period. The method:

  1. Take the monthly price and multiply by 12 for one year, then by the number of years you expect to use the software.
  2. Set that beside the one-off price, plus anything you expect to buy later: extra books, a future upgrade, support.
  3. Keep each price in its own currency and note whether it includes VAT. Converting at today's rate adds a guess to the comparison.
  4. Check that both options give you the books you need. The cheaper figure is no saving if the library is not the one you work with.

A worked example, at prices checked 27 October 2026. Similia's Pro Base plan is €16.99 a month: 12 × €16.99 = €203.88 a year, or €1,019.40 over five years if the rate stays the same. RadarOpus Core is £375, once, VAT included, and the figure stays £375 at five years unless you buy more. Similia also sells a lifetime plan from $1,999. The two are in different currencies and the libraries are different (Core has Kent, Boericke and Phatak; Similia's Base plan has its own set of repertories), so this shows the method, not a saving. The full comparison is on RadarOpus and Similia compared.

Upgrades and later costs

Upgrades have been free so far: every major version from 3.0 to 4.2 was free for licence holders on 2.2.16 or later. The licence terms updated in August 2026 allow future upgrades to be charged, so we do not promise that every future version will be free. Extra books and modules can be added to any package at any time, and you can move up to a larger package by paying the difference; ask us what that would be for your licence.

Paying in instalments or renting

The Radar UK shop takes one payment. If you would rather spread the cost, rental and Direct Debit instalments are handled by Zeus Soft, the publisher; rental starts at €6 a month, and Zeus Soft's prices exclude local tax. Radar UK no longer offers a quarterly payment plan. The details are on How to buy.

Trial and refund

You can try the full program free for 15 days before you buy. A permanent licence bought from Radar UK carries a 14-day refund. Colleges can enquire about a site licence.

When you know which package fits your work, choose your RadarOpus package.
